Online Access

The Chester Fritz Library has access to hundreds of databases, E-books, and E-journals online. There are several ways these resources can be accessed.

On Campus Access

Personal Computer, Tablet, or Mobile Device

Students, faculty, staff, and emeriti should sign in to the UND Protected wireless network. Once on the campus network, Chester Fritz Library Resources can be accessed through the library catalog or our Databases A-Z list.

Library Computers

There is an open computer lab on the second floor of the Chester Fritz Library that students, faculty, staff, and emeriti can use during library hours.

Personal Computer, Tablet, or Mobile Device

UND guests, affiliates, or Grand Forks community members can bring a computer, tablet, or mobile device to campus and receive temporary access to the UND Guest wireless network. Once on the UND Guest wireless network, Chester Fritz Library resources can be accessed through the library catalog or our Databases A-Z list.

Temporary Guest Computer

If guests do not have a personal device, they may request access to library computers by speaking to the staff at the Access Services Desk on the second floor of the library. Guests will have to provide a photo ID and an email or phone number for verification.

Off Campus Access

Students, faculty, staff, and emeriti should use their UND/ NDUS account to access library resources from off campus.

If you are an online student or remote faculty member, and have questions about resources or services at Chester Fritz Library,  please view our Distance Assistance information.

Currently, it is not possible for alumni, most NDUS affiliated members, visiting scholars, or community members to access library from off campus.

If you have questions or believe that you should have access, please contact the Access Services Department
