Distance Users ILL Policy
Current UND students and faculty who do not live in the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks zip code area, and do not come to campus regularly, may be considered distance users eligible to have materials sent to them. Distance users must register online for service. We will e-mail information and instructions when we receive your registration.
Articles not available online will be scanned and sent to your UND email account. Allow at least 10 business days for delivery of articles and 15-30 business days for physical items. To ensure proper delivery distance users are responsible for keeping their address current in Campus Connection and in the ILL registration database.
Journal articles may arrive electronically within a few days. Check your UND e-mail often and save or print articles immediately. Articles are kept on the server for a short time.
Books will be sent to you. You are responsible for return postage or shipping for delivery to UND by the due date. Request renewals one week in advance. Processing and replacement fees are charged for overdue or lost materials.
ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS: Some materials may be restricted. We will send books only within the U.S. and Canada. Check with the Interlibrary Loan staff.
Interlibrary Loan items may be subject to additional restrictions. The Library does not supply textbooks or e-books through Interlibrary Loan.
