Federal Public Access Policies

All federal agencies that fund research and development must comply with the Nelson Memo mandates. Many of the agencies previously implemented public access policies in 2014 after the release of the Holdren Memo. Until the new policies are implemented, these existing policies must still be followed.

UND has had grants and contracts with many federal agencies over the years. The links below take you to the most recent public access policy information available online for the agencies the UND researchers have most commonly received funding. We recommend working with your agency contact to receive the information most relevant to your grant or contract.
