OER Working Group
The OER Campus Working Group has been active since 2015 to promote OER adoption in courses as a way to reduce the financial burden of course materials and to improve student retention.
Activities of the Working Group
- Plan and implement state symposiums and campus workshops on issues regarding OERs
- Administer the UND OER Grant for instructors
- Track usage of OERs in courses
- Collaborate with the campus bookstore on open course materials
- Promote Open Access Week and Open Education Week
- Work with UND Administration to secure funding and support
- Provide a liaison to the NDUS OER Group
- Communicate with legislators to advocate for state funding on OER initiatives
The Working Group contains key allies and stakeholders including librarians, TTaDA staff, faculty champions, administrators, and student representatives.
