Surplus Books on Sale
A large collection of surplus books will be for sale this weekend (October 6-8) at the Chester Fritz Library. Hours: Thursday (10 a.m. to 7 p.m), Friday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Most materials will be around $1.
Every few years, the Chester Fritz Library at the University of North Dakota sells off hundreds of surplus books in its collection. “It’s mostly duplicate and donated materials in our collection,” assistant director Mary Drews said.
The sale will kick off this Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and continues though Saturday in the library’s main reading room.
“We’ll have a very wide selection, there should be something for everyone,” Drews said. “We usually sell materials every thee years. Things that don’t fit our collection or can’t stand up to library circulation.”
Most materials sold over the weekend will be priced around a dollar, with paperback materials sold for $0.50. A large paperback, children’s and comic book collection will also be featured.
Buyers are encouraged to come early for a larger selection.
